Position Overview & Priorities

We are looking for a JavaScript developer who is proficient with advanced JavaScript, CSS, and Javascript frameworks (like Vue and React) to optimise design, performance, and quality, ensure UI/UX feasibility while continuously evolving our technology stack.

You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features, enhance existing features, and implement bug fixes in existing code
• Building sustainable coding that may be used in the future.
• Ensuring the feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Enhancing performance of the front-end.
• Self-document development processes, conduct peer reviews, and give actionable feedback
• Work closely with the project managers, front-end and back-end developers to develop end-to-end, industry-leading systems

Work Location

We operate on a Hybrid model – you choose where you work from! Remotely or from our offices. Currently our talent is spread across 14 different cities globally.

Prioritised Experiences and Capabilities

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Familiarity with JavaScript technologies like ReactJS, VueJS
• Experience in using version control system Git
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning
